Step off your deck and walk a few steps to the water's edge. At low tide walk out onto the tide flats and observe the sealife.   Oak Bay is a beautiful bay to play on. Walk the beach. Visit the nearby Oak Bay County Park. Lots of birds, waterfowl, sealife and natural beauty await you at Oak Bay. It is not uncommon to see eagles, Great Blue Herons, loons, grebs, cormorants, even Pigeon Guilimonts live in the banks nearby. You might even see an otter (river otter) or deer.
