Miracles Meals, the catering business of the St John’s Parish, was started in the early part of 1987 following a suggestion of the three wardens and the vicar of the time. A parish meeting decided that we could begin by catering for our former deaconess’s wedding at Trinity College later that year.
From there we have grown and now cater for a large variety of functions including the Synod of the Melbourne Diocese, from the days when it met at the gymnasium of Ivanhoe Grammar School to the present venue at Festival hall. For the last sixteen years, we have supported and still support the Diocese with our catering for Archbishop-in-Council, the annual Retired Clergy Luncheon, and a variety of other regional, deanery and parish based events.
Miracle Meals caters for non Church events, including birthday parties, formal dinners and even weddings, in and out of our home base in the church complex at St John’s.

Other events we have catered for include funeral refreshments, afternoon teas, various parish functions, including men’s breakfasts, apex dinners, and evening dinners at Bishop’s Court.
