THE BIG BULLS
Here is one of the largest toros that took part in the 2004 Annual Parade of the Bulls in Tultepec during the day.
During the night all the bulls, which are loaded with color lights and free-roaming rockets ("buscapiés"), are fired up in the middle of a crowd of mostly young people who dare come close to the action at the risk of getting burned. Firefighters with fire extinguishers and a Red Cross first-aid station are on standby ready to assist those who need first-aid. This is the craziest, certaintly not the safest, most adrenaline-rushing event surroundig the Tultepec Fair. Of course, you can choose to watch the excitement and crowd movements ranging from running to choreagraphed jumping from a relatively safe distance. Safety googles are recommended. |
