| | A: | Originally it was Canaan land, from the name of the same arab Semitic (descendants of Sham, son of Nuh-Noah) tribe who were living there, then another tribe called Philistine from Crete lived alongside them on the coast line, the Romans then called the land of Palestine for that reason
